Town, who has been cleaning out my pockets, are set for another clean-out; the Port of Whitby shoreline. On Sunday Sept 25 2022, the little brewery that could is organizing a community litter picking. Supplies can be picked up at the brewery at 10am located at 1632 Charles St. The intent is to clean up the shoreline as far as Heydenshore Park. Community building is thirsty work so head back to the brewery afterwards for a pint.

Yes, yes and yes; a fave local brewery, Town, joins with a fave local band, Dizzy, to brew up some beer joy, with a portion of the proceeds going to support Rainbow Railroad, a Canadian charity that helps lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer individuals escape violence and persecution in their home countries.

‘Primrose Hill, a dry hopped IPA with lemon-lime soda, passion fruit and oranges tones, will be available at Town brewery in Whitby via online ordering and in-store. Town has done this, their Community Brews initiative, before with Pup and the Dirty Nil, its something we at slowcity.ca can get behind as its rarely a week goes by without some Town Square Wheel being downed, but getting Dizzy with it, well cmon’. The beer is named for a track from the band’s latest record, ‘The Sun & her Scorch’ on Royal Mountain Records. Cheers.
