The creative powers of the Wild Nellies will be unleashed In Whitby Sunday Sep 29 2019. This diverse gathering of female and female identifying makers will be showcasing their individual and collective talents to raise awareness and funds for the Muslim Welfare Home in Whitby. Performances include folk singer Annie Sumi, poet FJ Doucet , actress and director Melissa Gibson, Indian Classical dancer Arrthami Siva-Kuruvinth – Indian Classical Dancer, Madeleine Twyman of the Durham School of Ballet and Contemporary Dance, artist Sheri Gundry, spoken word poet Tanika Riley, painter Cindy Xiang and Gwen Tuinman, novelist and founder of the Wild Nellies.
Exhibitors include singer songwriter Riley Wheater, writer Colette Brown, writer/blogger Carin Makuz, photographer Kirsten McGoey, artist/illustrator Sarah Fligel, singer songwriter Emily Snellings, singer songwriter Daria Gimon, visual artist Kati Kirke-Louie, spoken word poet Zohal Nassery, artist Tanya Petruk, poet/novelist Renee Sgroi, poet Natalie Fraser, artist Danielle Sciara, artist Helen Leach-Edwards, actor/writer Sharon Berman. The event is free and accessible and runs from 1 - 3 p.m., doors open at 12:30 p.m.
