Plucking nice new instrumental track from Ian North, along the lines of Bruce Cockburn. North takes us on a drive along the ‘Malahat’ highway on Vancouver Island. Lots of slide too, echoing long vistas via the Saanich Inlet, Peninsula, Gulf Islands, and the mountains across the Strait. North had a serious run-in with death two years ago at the age of 70, and had to relearn how to walk, sing, and play guitar again. Job done I’d say.
